Little Hands is a company focused on children illustration.
Marta Belo and Leonor Feijó, both from Portugal are the artists responsible for the wall coverings to the little ones rooms.
They are now exploring new a public, the grown ups! With some imagination and sensibility they can turn a boring
space into a wishful dream atmosphere by covering the walls with wallpaper.

The wallpaper can be ordered in various sizes. They are like tailors, the wallpaper will fit perfectly on your wall, you just
have to give us the measures you need!
They can be personalized according to the client needs, choosing a favourite character or theme from the catalog
and then, Feijó and Belo will do the composition, or the client can challenge these two illustrators proposing a scene to have on your wall.
The Murals can be even more exclusive by adding a name, or a phrase or something you have in mind.

“Every room should be colourful full of surprises and dreams” - that is what Marta and Leonor try to achieve!

Leonor Feijó, finished her BA in photography in London College of Communication in 2004, but now photography became
her hobby and illustration her passion.

Marta Belo, graduated in architecture in Escola Superior Artistica do Porto in 2003. She teaches drawing lessons in a
Portuguese University, the rest the time she dedicates her days to illustration.

Hace 5 años (si, 5 años, me acabo de quedar alucinada de lo rápido que pasa el tiempo) mostramos el trabajo de unas artistas que se iniciaban con un precioso proyecto “Little Hands”. Entre otras cosas, los murales de infantiles eran geniales. Me encanta descubrir después de tanto tiempo, que han seguido arriba con su proyecto y ¡mira que preciosidad de mural infantil!. Trabajan por encargo, por lo que si os interesa teneis que escribirles un mail con las medidas de vuestra pared.

Creatividad, buen gusto y un estilo propio y definido son algunas de las pautas que marcan el trabajo de este estudio, sus murales infantiles son una alternativa estupenda a tener en cuenta cuando nos ponemos manos a la obra para decorar las habitaciones de los niños.

La verdad que lo primero que me llamó la atención del proyecto protagonista de este post no fueron sus preciosísimos papeles pintados de tonos pastel, ni sus ilustraciones de animales que te hacen volar la cabeza a cuentos de la infancia. No, lo que provocó el click en mi cerebro fue el nombre: Little Hands. La explicación es bastante larga (o corta) y para eso tendría que abrir un blog que se titulase Cómo no conocí a vuestro padre. Pero al grano, gracias a ese nombre no pude evitar cotillear un poco más y descubrí una auténtica delicia.

Little Hands es una empresa de ilustración compuesta por las portuguesas Marta Belo y Leonor Feijó. La primera es arquitecta y la segunda fotógrafa, juntas han conseguido combinar lo mejor de cada casa para mostrar su talento (y buen gusto) en todo tipo de soportes, siempre usando la ilustración como la pieza clave de sus trabajos.

Aunque hacen todo tipo de obras y han colaborado con revistas como Vogue (que ya quisiéramos), los papeles pintados (wallpapers para los que hayáis ido al That’s English) son su gran trabajo. Sólo hace falta echar un rápido vistazo para entender por qué tienen tanto éxito. Son pequeños cuentos en la pared, ya que con mucho gusto son capaces de crear historias a través de varios personajes animalescos de los más amables. Nosotras ya queremos adoptar a más de uno de los animalitos que salen en ellos. Hemos hecho una pequeña selección, pero os recomendamos que echéis un ojo y si os gusta alguno, sólo tenéis que decir a que tamaño lo queréis y nuestras vecinas portuguesas os lo harán a medida.

Pero como ya os hemos adelantado, no sólo tienen papeles pintados, sino que sus ilustraciones son la base de su trabajo y también tienen protagonismo propio. Nos gustan por su estilo naif e infantil, pero a la vez sorprendente y algunos de sus retratos nos recuerdan bastante a Yoshitomo Nara, del que somos bastante fans. Se ve que a estas chicas los animales le pirran porque son también protagonistas de sus ilustraciones.

Y como guinda del trabajo de Little Hands estos divertidos dibujos con citas celebres en versión perruna, porque detrás de un guau guau hay mucho qué decir.

Hoy quiero hablaros de Little Hands una empresa portuguesa que se dedica a la ilustración infantil y que me tiene completamente fascinada.

Leonor Feijó y Marta Beló son las fundadoras de Little Hands, son socias y amigas. Me gusta su historia, se conocieron de pequeñas en la parada del autobus escolar, descubriendo que eran vecinas y allí surgió su amistad. Su época universitaria las separó temporalmente, Leonor marchó a Londres a estudiar fotografía y Marta se quedó en Portugal y estudió arquitectura, aunque ambas convirtieron la ilustración en su máxima pasión.

A la vuelta de Leonor a Portugal soñaban con hacer algo juntas y surgió Little Hands, esta empresa está mayoritariamente dedicada a la ilustración infantil, crean murales de papel pintado, ¿os imagináis una habitación infantil así?

Los comienzos fueron difíciles, al principio vendían a familiares, amigos y amigos de amigos, pero gracias a su ilusión, empeño y trabajo en un tiempo relativamente corto han conseguido vender a todo el mundo aunque sus principales clientes son españoles e ingleses.

Si bien se puede elegir un mural del catálogo éstos son personalizables, si tienes una idea de como lo quieres se hace un intercambio de impresiones e ideas y Marta y Leonor crean el papel pintado a la medida del cliente, teniendo en cuenta diversos aspectos: tamaño del mural, la elección de un personaje favorito o tema del catálogo o, si se prefiere, el cliente puede proponer un tema para su mural, se puede personalizar añadiendo un nombre, frase, etc

Los murales de papel pintado pueden ser lo personalizados que el cliente desee.

Si deseas adquirir uno de estos murales sólo tienes que mandar un email sugiriendo un tema y lo primero que se pedirá es la medida de la pared, una vez que se tienen las medidas se trabaja en la ilustración de acuerdo con las medidas exactas de la pared hasta que se envía al cliente para su aprobación. Si todo está al gusto del clientes se manda a la imprenta y en unos 5 o 7 días laborables se puede tener en casa si el pedido es europeo.

Deco Bebé

Little Hands es el nombre de esta nueva empresa, detrás de la cual están Marta Belo y Leonor Feijó, ilustradoras portuguesas. En su página podéis encontrar bonitos papeles pintados a mano para decorar las paredes de la habitación de bebé. Lo que nos gusta de estos papeles es que los podéis personalizar, indicándoles algún detalle que queréis incluir en el mural ya sea el nombre, algún motivo que os encante o simplemente pedirlo de las medidas que necesitáis.
La mayoría de creaciones de Little Hands tienen un encanto especial, parecen dibujos sacados de ilustraciones de cuentos clásicos y están llenos de ternura, tanto en los personajes que se ilustran como en las escenas que se detallan, paisajes de cuento donde viven gnomos, cerditos, flamencos, sirenas,.. que van y vienen en sus quehaceres diarios. Sus tonalidades suaves y alegres dan un aire clásico y bonito a la habitación.
Podéis añadir el nombre del bebé y personalizarlo completamente.

Seguro que muchas veces has visto en revistas o en Internet habitaciones de niños que tienen murales en sus paredes, y la verdad a muchos hay cosas que se nos escapan se que hay padres que son muy artistas con la pintura pero yo no tengo ese don.
Así que buscando he encontrado LITTLE HANDS, que es precisamente eso un mural pintado a mano decorado con los motivos que puedes ver en su web, que te darán un toque especial a tu pared.

Pero sin duda lo más bonito de esta nueva habitación es el mural. Lo encargué a Little Hands. Son dos chicas portuguesas que trabajan de cine. Basta con decirles la temática que quieres en el mural y ellas se ponen manos a la obra. La verdad es que en las fotos no luce. En vivo es una auténtica obra de arte. Para que diera sensación de profundidad les pedí que fuera como una habitación abuhardillada con un gran ventanal y que por la ventana se viera la basílica de Padua (la ciudad de mi marido), un tren antiguo, una bailarina y otros objetos relacionados con la música, el ballet, la lectura...
Ellas me iban mandado pruebas y yo se iba corrigiendo sobre la marcha hasta conseguir lo que tenia en mi cabeza. Me encanta el estilo retro y elegante que tienen estas chicas ...
Así. por ejemplo, me dibujaron una barra de ejercicios de ballet, un tutú, las zapatillas de baile, un caballito-balancín... un cartel con la " estación de Padua ", al fondo la basílica, una bici antigua, un globo aerostático... No os parecen geniales?

Pequedecoracion

Little Hands es una firma portuguesa especializada en el diseño de murales infantiles decorativos. Cabe resaltar que sus murales decorativos convertirán la habitación del peque en un lugar lleno de encanto e imaginación. No podemos dejar de mencionar que todo esto es obra de las ilustradoras portuguesas Marta Belo y Leonor Feijó, dos artistas que crean fantásticos y bonitos papeles pintados; por otra parte, los diseños de Little Hands pueden llegar a ser personalizados al gusto del cliente.

Cabe señalar que los papeles pintados con muñecos de nieve, simpáticos animalitos y mundos mágicos en tonos pastel son únicos en su estilo. Leonor Feijo and Marta Belo started Little Hands in 2008, specializing in children illustration.

Leonor Feijó fotógrafa y Marta Belo arquitecta, crean Little Hands con la intención de ilustrar el mundo de los niños, aunque poco a poco se van introduciendo también en el difícil mundo de los adultos.

Ellas plasman en la pared el tema elegido por su cliente, su personaje favorito, el tema de su catálogo, el cuento preferido de su hijo. After we put down the deposit for the big new house, this has been the question on my mind: "How am I going to decorate Nola's new room?" Besides furniture, lighting, rug, curtain... wall decoration is quite big these days. Then, thanks to Google, I found this Portuguese wall decor company called Little Hands, creating the most amazing children's wallpaper murals I've seen. The murals feature the interesting daily lives of different animal characters - like piggies, bunnies, pandas, penguins, duckies, mice, flamingos, and mermaids.

Sus murales se basan en ilustraciones cuyos colores y dibujos evocan una imagen glamurosa y divertida al mismo tiempo.

Pienso que si volviese a la niñez, sería una de las opciones que me encantaría tener en la habitación. Además el precio (al estar hechos sobre papel y no tener que desplazarse el muralista al domicilio) es inferior.

There are so many choices for decorating nursery walls that it’s hard to know where to begin. I’ll be upfront; I’m not into ‘cutesy’ designs. Rows of teddies, puppies playing in mud or kittens tangling a ball of wool aren’t really what I want to look at. However, the quirky little characters from Portuguese illustrators Little Hands immediately caught my eye.

At first glance, their work appears to be lots of cute animals but look a little closer and you will see exquisite, humorous and appealing details that hold your attention. Perhaps it’s because Little Hands’ illustrators, Marta Belo and Leonor Feijó, draw animals doing the most unlikely things – hippos on stilts, monkeys in striped bathers chatting with squirrels, ice-skating penguins and hedgehogs eating breakfast cereal are among the subjects of these fine, delicately coloured illustrations.

Little Hands can apply their designs to almost anything, from canvas and lampshades to linen and wallpaper (see the divine ‘Under the Sea’ mural and ballerina patterned wallpaper below). Leonor Feijo et Marta Belo sont portugaises, deux artistes illustratrices responsables de ces superbes paysages peuplés de gnomes merveilleux, d’animaux anthropomorphiques et de toutes ces scènes charmantes issues d’imaginations fertiles. Little Hands est leur entreprise de papiers peints spécialiste des revêtements muraux pour enfants. A l’origine Leonor possède une licence de photographie du London College et Marta est architecte mais leur passion commune est l’illustration.
